Dear Diary: A Camper’s Experience at CSC

Summer Break Kids Camp Reflection

Dear Diary,

I had a really fun time at the CSC Summer Break Kids Camp! It’s cool to be with friends who get what it’s like to have a parent with cancer. And I even made some new friends, even though they were younger than me! When I’m at CSC, I don’t feel so alone.

We had an EPIC time with Ms. Megan. The first week at the Homewood camp was awesome—we visited the Homewood Science Center and did yoga.

I had so much fun at Homewood that I came back for the Mokena camp the next week! We went to a park with a splash pad and the New Lenox Children’s Museum.

We also did cool art projects and played team-building games, like the hula-hoop challenge, where we had to work together.

I can’t wait to go back to CSC for Winter Break camp.
